In the beginning God created the Heaven and the earth: Genesis 1:1

Today's world is very scientific. Everything is oriented towards explaining things from a humanist viewpoint. Man, through science, has redefined life to say that we came from a speck of hydrogen many eons ago. By chance man finally arrived on the scene, a sort-of-god ready to create his own destiny.

The humanist believes man created God in his own image. Humanists insist their belief is pure science, not religion. Francis Crick, a humanist, won the Nobel prize for discoveries in DNA. Crick was amazed by the information contained in a single living cell and the cell's complexity. He concluded that life was seeded here by some extraterrestrial being. Outspoken atheist Carl Sagan realized that information can only originate by intelligence. Sagan convinced our space industry to construct instruments just to listen in space for some signal from a higher intelligence.

Well, if you really want a message from a higher intelligence, just read your Bible. Proverbs 21:30 says, "There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the Lord."

The Bible reveals the being who is creator of the universe. "God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelt not in temples made with hands; neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; and hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth... that they should seek the Lord, if haply the might feel after him, and find him, though he be no far from everyone of us: for in Him we live, and move, and have our being..." Acts 17:24-28.

The creationist believes that man was created in the image of God. Why don't we hear about this God of creation? One reason may be that secular humanists control our educational system. Secular humanists also have control over our media, museums, and even national parks.

But, in spite of all this , major disciplines of were begun by creationists-men of science who were men of God: astronomy by Johannes Kepler, genetics by Gregor Mendel, and electromagnetics by Michael Faraday.

Scientists Louis Pasteur and Isaac Newton excelled in many fields. Pasteur discovered the law of biogenesis, which states that all life came from previous life and did not evolve from non-living matter. All attempts to refute Pasteur's discovery have failed. All of these men believed that man is a created being, deliberately design by God, as declared in the book of Genesis.

The most significant statement ever written is Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Henry Morris, in his commentary "The Genesis Record" says, "...that the present processes of the cosmos are not processes of creating and making: and therefore, it would forever be impossible...to understand about the origin of things apart from divine revelation."

The present processes are "... conservation and disintegration as formulated in the two universal laws of Thermodynamics" ( Morris, p. 80). "For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead: so that they are without excuse," Romans 1:20. Genesis 2:1,2 says that God has finished His work of creating and making.

It is quite probable that the major reason humanists refuse to recognize that Jesus Christ is the creator God of the cosmos is that to acknowledge Jesus would require having to answer to Jesus for personal sin. That is very hard for man in his pride to face up to. The humanists would rather deny Christ's deity and explain the universe by the theory of evolution.

But, the good news is that Jesus paid for our sin, and offers salvation from sin's penalty to each of us, as a gift! Just as God has finished His creative work, God in the person of His son Jesus Christ has finished His redemptive work on the cross at Calvary. The savior, our creator, cried, "It is finished" before he died. Christ shedding His own blood for our sins, and rose again from the dead on the third day. There is no other offering for sin, and without Christ shedding His own blood there can be no remission of sins (Hebrews 10:10 and Hebrews 9:22). Have you trusted in the finished work of Christ?

Today's world assumes evolution. Its result is having man think he is self-made. He thinks that man can save himself, also. But, how marvelous the world is! Science reveals fantastic things to us. Wonderfully created design is seen all around. Only a designer, God, could have done this. Man is without excuse to not believe in the creator and savior, Jesus Christ. "Know ye that the Lord He is God: it is He that has made us, and not we ourselves..." Psalm 100:3.

Today's world needs Jesus Christ. "He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name..." John 1:10-12.

The most important message for each of us is: "That, if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved," Romans 10:9. Do you see that Jesus Christ is indeed the Creator God? Do you know Jesus Christ as your creator and personal savior? You can ask Him right now to save you from sin and Hell. He will save you immediately, if you ask. "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13. You can pray and ask Jesus Christ to save you right now.
